The Portugal Under 21 international has been linked with a move to Portsmouth in the Portuguese press.
Reports says Pompey could bring in the youngster on loan in January with a view to a permanent deal. They could even sign Adrien on a permanent deal for £4.5million in January.
Adrien is keen to know if he is part of new coach Carlos Carvalhal’s plans at Sporting.
“I want to play and have chances on the pitch, but I wait to speak with the club to clear my situation,” Adrien told the Portuguese media.
“I have seen the rumours, but I have not spoken with anybody.”
