United lost 1-0 to Besiktas at Old Trafford on Wednesday, following a 20th minute Rodrigo Tello strike.
Brown admitted that United created chances but was disappointed that they did not finish any.
He continued to Sky Sports: “I think they made a few chances in the game, scored one but in all a bit disappointed we didn’t get the draw but that’s football.
“(It’s) disappointing to lose our winning streak at home in Europe so it’s one of those nights really.”
“The gaffer changed the team around a bit. We played good football, we had chances but we just didn’t put them away and I think you need to do that in Europe,” he added.
“Maybe we should have got a penalty with Patrice but that happens sometimes so we’ve just got to carry on now for Saturday.”
