News of the World says City directors has asked Carlos Tevez and Pablo Zabaleta about the winger and they have recommended the Sevilla star.
The 21-year-old is reportedly keen on staying at Sevilla, but he could be tempted by a move to City.
Perotti’s agent, Alvaro Torres, said: “I have received calls about Perotti. These proposals will have to be put to Sevilla some time soon.
“He is wanted in England, Italy and Spain.”
Perotti’s contract with Sevilla expires in 2013.
