United have been linked with keepers around Europe as they continue to look for a long-term replacement for Edwin van der Sar.
Neuer would reportedly cost United around £11.8million.
“We know Manchester United are interested in Neuer,” Neuer’s agent Thomas Kroth told Sport Bild.
“Manuel would also like to play with a team that has a better international level.”
