Sinclair has been out with a knee injury since November 11.
He told City’s website: “It was good to be back, obviously not in the circumstances we want, but hopefully Trabelsi will be okay.
“I’ve not been back training for too long, so I was thrown in at the deep end a little, but I just tried to take it easy and not do too many sprints early on.”
He added: “I enjoyed it. It was pretty much up and down, they made a great game of it, came at us and on another day they might have beaten us.
“But credit to Nicky Weaver and the defence, they held out and the fans got right behind us.
“We did well to get in front, but it was a bit disappointing to lose the lead so soon after getting it, but now we can take them back to our place and hopefully do a job on them.”
