Mido joined Ajax from Gent in 2001 and made over 40 appearances for the Dutch giants.
“It’s almost 90 per cent sure that I will leave Zamalek in January. Hull City are interested in signing me and there’s another English team that is after me,” said Mido to Modern Sports.
“The other team that’s keen to sign me is a mid-table side in the Premier League, but they don’t play Europa League football. That’s pretty important for me and Ajax do play European football.
“Head coach Martin Jol has asked me whether I’m interested in returning to Ajax and I definitely am. I really want to move to Ajax in order to relaunch my career at a club where I can show my qualities.”
