Miccoli has been linked with a move away from the club due to a reported tension between him and coach Delio Rossi.
“It was all a fabrication by journalists, who read between the lines too much about the whole situation,” Miccoli’s agent Francesco Caliandro explained to Stadionews. “The media went beyond what actually happened.
“Miccoli was nervous about the missed penalty because the complexion of the match would have certainly changed.
“As for changing sides after missing the spot-kick? It is a hypothesis that is non-existent. Fabrizio does not want to leave whatsoever.
“The president [Maurizio Zamparini] was the one who categorically denied the rumours,” concluded Caliandro.
