Sorensen told the Daily Express: “Last season, everything was hopeless at Villa. I would be lying if I said I was not thinking of leaving. The thrill had gone away from the players, the management and the fans.
“The morale was at an all-time low and we did not know where we were heading. The spirit was gone. Everything was grinding to a halt and seemed to be heading for a dead end.
“If things had not turned around, I would be playing for another club now. I discussed it with my agent. Now, everything is in bloom. The fans are happy, the owner is happy and the players are happy.”
