Sky Sports claims Ilan is the ‘mystery Brazilian’ that West Ham co-owner David Sullivan claimd the Hammers were closing in on over the weekend.
Ilan is out of contract in the summer and St Etienne will allow the 29-year-old to leave on a cheap.
The Hammers are desperate to strengthen their team up front before the January transfer window closes on Monday.
