Crespo was unveiled as a new Parma player on Saturday after re-joining the club from Genoa.
“When I left Parma 10 years ago, I wrote a letter saying that I would have loved to end my career by playing again at this stadium,” the 34-year-old striker told reporters during a press conference.
“Here I am. I’m back. I realised my dream. I hope to score plenty of goals. I can promise I’ll put myself at the team’s disposal and be professional.”
Crespo has signed a contract that will keep him at Parma until June 2011.
“The important thing to get great results is to be a united group,” he said.
“In future we could afford to have dreams. But it’s best not to get ahead of ourselves for the time being. We have to be realistic and get to the 40-point mark and then keep working with determination.”
