Fabregas was impressed by the performance United put in during their recent 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
“When you find yourself, two, three nil down, it’s difficult,” Fabregas is quoted in The Mirror as saying.
“Even Lionel Messi would struggle to do anything.
“We have to be positive. It’s very easy to say ’we lost to Manchester United’ and to get down. That would be crazy.
“We have to be strong and be together more than ever and do our best until the end of the season.
“I really don’t care what people think it’s all about us and we believe until the end of the season It’s up to us to show what we can do.
“It’s difficult. We have to bounce back straightaway. We have massive games next against Chelsea away and Liverpool at home.
“It’s never a good time to play Chelsea whether you are nine points clear or nine points behind. They are a strong side and have been playing together for a long time.
“We have to beat them to stay in the title race. If you don’t believe you don’t win things. We are still there, definitely.
“I am always realistic. I’m not going to lie to myself. Chelsea were better than us, Manchester United have been better than us. It’s something we have to think about and make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
