The 25-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan from Inter Milan to West Ham, but will spend the rest of the season at Parma.
“I am excited to have the possibility to play with a team that is doing so well in the league. It has a lot of history behind it,” Jimenez stated to the club’s official website, FCParma.com.
“The president and coach convinced me to come to Parma, but I saw the side that was constructed here. Big things can be done here, so it didn’t take a lot to convince me.
“I can play in any position in midfield, but would prefer to play as a trequartista just behind the strikers.
“The experience at West Ham may not have ended like I wanted to, but it was a positive experience. I got to know another league, one that is more physical, and am happy to have returned to Italy.”
