The 33-year-old has been linked with moves to Preston and Barnsley during the January transfer window.
“It’s not surprising that someone like Robbie will get interest,” Laws told the Lancashire Telegraph.
“He’s a quality player and if we want to stay in the Premier League, he’s a player we’d want to keep.
“If we want to achieve what we’ve set out to do, we’d be foolish to let him go anywhere.”
