Pardew said: “Make no mistake – it is not over yet. We are not all sitting in the dressing room thinking our days are numbered in the Premiership.
“I have said to the players they will need to be braver than ever.
“We will recharge ourselves. There is a children’s party at the club on Sunday, and I will make sure they all turn up, then we will start work again on Monday.”
Pardew added: “We are getting the big matches in a little cluster, which is a bit worrying, because otherwise you can bounce back and give everyone a lift – but we are going to go from one difficult game to another.
“This is, though, now a time for the players to stick together, stay brave and carry a threat in every game – that is what we need to do.”
