The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, but will concentrate on helping Hull avoid relegation.
“If I’m honest, the contract is nowhere near an issue for me,” Boateng told the Hull Daily Mail.
“The main thing on my mind is to keep my place in the team, perform well and try and help this team to stay up. Those are my only priorities.
“It’s a nice compliment from the gaffer and I take it on board, but we haven’t achieved anything yet.
“This is the best I’ve played here, but I can’t take my foot off the gas.
“I’ve said it many, many times but I’ve only ever wanted to contribute in a positive way.
“I would like to go on holiday in the summer and think ‘It was tough but we’ve made it’.
“I want to be proud and say that for 14 consecutive seasons I have been in the Premier League.
“If then the club wants to keep me here, and the fans want to see me here, we can sit around a table and talk about it.
“That would be the easy part, the hardest part is winning games and that is my main focus.”
