The Russian side played their first official match in three months and Gonzalez scored a stunning goal in the 1-1 draw.
“My mind went blank after the goal, pure happiness. We spoke about my scoring today and I did. I just ran to the physical trainer,” Gonzalez was quoted as saying on the official UEFA website.
“We’re very happy and content with the result, in what was our first game after pre-season. None of us are 100 per cent physically, and we still have room to improve. We just have to keep improving physically, hone our game a little bit. Both sides have options so we will have to wait and see. We still have a big chance.”
