Fabregas suffered a season-ending injury during the 2-2 draw with Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.
“I hope he makes a fast recovery because people want to see the best players playing the game,” said the Catalan centre-half.
“It is bad news for him but I am sure he will be back soon. Cesc is brave and I am sure that will help him in his recovery and get him back on the field sooner than expected.”
