German newspaper Bild reports that Mancini is interested in bringing Toni to Eastlands.
The 32-year-old is currently on loan at Roma from Bayern Munich and the Italian side have an option to sign the striker.
Toni is expected to be sold this summer as he has stated that he does not want to play under coach Louis Van Gaal at Bayern.
