News of the World claim Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been inquiring about the 26-year-old in recent months.
Doyle has three years left on his contract at Wolves and is also wanted by Aston Villa.
Wenger said recently: “I like him personally.
“He is an intelligent striker.
“He’s good everywhere. I followed him since he was at Reading.”
