Wenger has put Arteta on his list of possible targets, should Cesc Fabregas leave the club this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Fabregas has long been linked with a return to Spanish giants Barcelona.
Wenger is also reportedly keeping tabs on Real Zaragoza youngster Ander Herrera.
