Chelsea boss delighted to land the Double

The Blues managed to land the Double this season, following a 1-0 win over Portsmouth in the FA Cup Final.

Portsmouth ace Kevin-Prince Boateng had a penalty saved by Chelsea keeper Petr Cech in the second half.

Ancelotti said: “It was strange to hit the woodwork five times in one half. It never happened in my career but we had to stay focused so we could try to attack.

“It was more difficult in the second half because we didn’t start well and conceded a lot of fouls.

“We weren’t in a good moment at the start of the second half but the penalty was the key moment.

“If Portsmouth went 1-0 up it would have been more difficult, but (Petr) Cech saved the penalty and then Drogba scored. After that it was easier.”

“It is a fantastic victory for me,” added Ancelotti.

“I am very happy with my first year in England. I am lucky. I had a very good career with fantastic clubs and this year I was lucky to work at a fantastic club with a great atmosphere.

“I want to thank everyone who worked with me. I will follow my players’ celebrations. Will I have wine, champagne? Sure. It is right to have a celebration, the team did a fantastic season.”
