Valero spent last season on loan at Mallorca and impressed in La Liga.
“He has had a great season. He is a good footballer. I know that his people like us,” Tevenet told the club’s official website.
“He wants to come to Sevilla but the negotiations, as we all know, are very time consuming. There is a club, the player, and surely there will be other teams that want him as well,” he added.
“It gets tricky,” continued Tevenet when commenting on the talks. “But I am sure that, in the end, the feelings of the player who has already commented that he wants to come to Sevilla, will hold sway.”
