The defender said: “I was told I was not on former boss Alain Perrin’s radar when Harry left. Then I was hearing stories that Neil Warnock did not fancy me when he was being tipped as his replacement.
“But then, almost from nowhere, Harry was back.
“I then returned from injury just in time to complete the number of games required for me to qualify for a further two-year deal – and of course the boss gave it to me.”
