Oezil impressed for Germany at the 2010 World Cup and have been linked with clubs such as Real Madrid, Chelsea and Juventus.
“We’re keen to hold on to Mesut for a couple more seasons and we want him to sign a new deal with us,” Allofs was quoted as saying by Bild.
“However, if that turns out to be impossible, we might have to look at other solutions.”
Oezil’s current contract with Werder Bremen is set to expire in the summer of 2011.
