Rafinha has been linked with the likes of Inter Milan, Barcelona, Hamburg and Liverpool in recent years.
“I am not aware why [Schalke coach] Felix Magath says that Rafinha would be set to leave,” agent Naor Malaquias told Bild.
“He played 30 matches [last season], Schalke finished second in the league because of Rafinha’s great displays.”
“He would not have played as much if his performances had been that bad. The fact is that he has one year left on his contract and will be staying on.”
“At this point in time there are just enquiries from Italy and Hamburger SV. If there is not a big offer coming in, he is not going to move on,” he added.
