The Mirror reports that Wright-Phillips is not part of the plans at Eastlands and the club is keen to include him in a deal for Milner.
City have been strongly linked with a move for Milner throughout the summer.
Villa have already rejected a bid of around £20million from City for the midfielder earlier this summer.
