Villarreal are keeping tabs on the 19-year-old’s situation at Penarol and could make a move this summer.
Villarreal boss Juan Carlos Garrido is keen to bring in the youngster, who made his debut for Penarol in March 2009.
Penarol have reportedly set a €3million asking price for the midfielder.
