Andrea Dossena and Marek Hamsik scored the goals for the Italian side on Tuesday night.
“Initially Wolfsburg were the better side,” said the Napoli coach to Mediaset. “We made a little hard work of it, but that’s normal. I am happy with everything, with the way the team played and with the [Ezequiel] Lavezzi I saw who was in great form.
“Dossena only needed a bit of work to come good and of course for the injuries not to have happened to him. I am convinced that he can only improve.
“Hamsik played as a holding midfielder with [Juan Camilo] Zuniga in the second half, then as a trequartista with [Christian] Maggio on the right. I would say that they all did well.”
