Inter Milan own half of the 22-year-old’s rights following a €6.5million deal this summer.
Interviewed in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ranocchia said: “Inter signed me in a co-ownership deal and left me on loan at Genoa also to verify my recovery after the injury.
“I could arrive in Milan even in January. The two clubs must speak about it. After six months out, the most important thing is to play.
“Inter came looking for me in the past when I played for Arezzo. There was also Milan, Fiorentina and other clubs.
“Arezzo perhaps asked a little too much for me. The fact is, Genoa were the ones who bought me three years ago, which is another thing Preziosi deserves recognition for.
“I had a stupendous year at Bari and I am affectionate towards everyone there, but the game against Inter will also be one that won’t be like the others.”
