The Sun reports that the 25-year-old is ready to sign a new deal following the arrival of Gerard Houllier as new manager at Villa.
Young had refused to sign a new deal until he knew who would replace Martin O’Neill has manager at the club.
The winger has less than two seasons left on his current contract with Villa.
Young has been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent months.
