The new deal will keep the 27-year-old at Anderlecht until the summer of 2015.
“The contract extension of Silvio Proto is very important for the club. He has developed into a very reliable shot stopper,” Anderlecht’s technical director Herman van Holsbeeck was quoted as saying on the club’s website.
“His current form and the progress he has recently shows that it pays off to give promising youngsters a chance.”
