The 22-year-old will stay at Kilmarnock on a year’s loan from Italian side Udinese.
He told The Daily Record: “I’m happy with Kilmarnock and I would prefer to remain in Scotland. Over here supporters are more understanding.
“In Italy, though, they are crazy. There are too many hooligans.
“When you lose the people criticise you and insult you and it’s just too much.
“It’s very difficult for players to go into their own city centre afterwards because people will shout insults at you.”
