The France Under 18 international impressed on trial at St James’ Park.
The 18-year-old has signed a four-year contract with Newcastle, despite being linked with clubs such as Manchester United, Ajax and Bordeaux.
“He’s very much one for the future. He’s a lad who came on trial and showed enough to earn himself a contract,” Newcastle boss Chris Hughton said.
“It will benefit him working with our development group and it is something that we will continue to do.
“We are looking at France as a very good market to pick up players – as many other clubs are – but it is not just there.
“We are casting our net much wider but it is all positive for the future of the club.”
