He said: “I’m keeping him on trial for a couple more days because he looks a good young player. He’s sharp, quick and has a very good strike-rate in Norway.
“I’ve got a few friends in Norway who have watched him regularly and speak very highly of him. We’d be buying potential. But it all depends on what the fee is. I don’t know what Lyn are looking for.
“I couldn’t recommend paying silly money for potential.
“It’s really a case of whether we do something now, or keep monitoring him until the summer. It’s a difficult one.”
Lyn Oslo sporting director Torgeir Bjarmann said: “We know that Portsmouth like him, it’s just a matter of how much.
