Schalke have had a poor start to the Bundesliga this season, but managed a 2-0 win over Benfica in a Champions League Group B tie on Wednesday.
“I am hugely satisfied because it was a tough match and Benfica have a great team as we saw in the first half,” said Magath.
“But I am especially satisfied with how we worked our way into the game and pulled the match away from them.”
