Capello believes his friend coach Edy Reja is the right man for Lazio.
Capello said: “Lazio can finish in the top four, the Champions League zone. Edy has experience, knows football and how to handle pressure.
“He proved it both in Italy and overseas, in Croatia with Hajduk Split.”
“Reja is a good man,” Don Fabio told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “He’s genuine, fair and loyal.
“A great person and above all a great friend: you can’t help but care for him. We’ve known each other since 1963 at Ferrara, as we were both from the same area around Gorizia.
“As a player he was a solid midfielder who made sure he was respected on the pitch, even if that meant kicking a few people.
“We have always kept in touch, even a few days ago. We talk about all sorts of things, from football to our hometowns and wine. Edy knows all about good food and wine.”
