Super Deporte reports that talks over a new deal has resumed between Valencia and Mata’s father and representative, Juan Snr.
Reports claim Mata is expected to sign a new four or five year extension to his current contract with valencia.
Mata’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2013.
