Italian TV station RAI reports that Spurs could be favourites to sign Bonera due to their defensive injury problems.
Spurs defender Michael Dawson, Younes Kaboul, Jonathan Woodgate and William Gallas are all out with injuries.
Fulham and Birmingham City are also reprotedly keen on signing the 29-year-old defender.
