The Roma midfielder picked up a muscle injury on Sunday evening.
A scan has revealed that De Rossi has sustained ‘light bruising’ and fluid build-up in his left leg.
“It’s nothing bad, but he is unavailable for tomorrow,” said Italy’s chief doctor Enrico Castellacci.
