Obertan and Bebe scored one goal each in United’s 3-0 win over Bursaspor in Turkey on Tuesday.
“It was definitely Gaby’s best performance [against Bursaspor],” said Evra. “I’m really pleased with him because he’s working hard. I keep talking with him every day and tell him to take his chance. He’s shown his potential but now the most difficult part is coming.
“I keep telling him ‘it’s not easy to play for Manchester United but you’re still young and you have a lot of quality’. I’m not surprised about his performance and I hope he will keep getting better.
“It’s not just about his goal. It’s his position when he played in the middle. He just turned to go, he ran with the ball and no-one could stop him. We know that about Gaby and now’s the time to show that he has the potential to play for Manchester United.
“I didn’t know him before he came here, I just met him when he arrived and when I saw him train I saw the potential he’s got. I always speak with him and he’s very happy because he’s like my younger brother.
“I keep talking to him and that’s why I hope he wont get too sleepy, because now he needs to work harder and play better.
“He had a great pre-season but the squad is very strong and it’s difficult to get into it. After the injuries he got back and had many sessions with us because he is a good professional.
“Bebe is coming on, he’s sharp. I think now everyone wants to get involved with Manchester United. We talk about the young players, tell them to respect the story of this club and how lucky they are to play for it. I’m very happy to see this.”
