Honda has long been linked with a move away from CSKA and the club has hinted that he will be allowed to leave in January.
“We do not plan to hold on to our players against their will. We will respect the players’ wishes. We’re ready to discuss a transfer if the price is right,” a CSKA spokesperson was quoted as saying by Sankei Sports.
The 24-year-old joined CSKA Moscow from Dutch side VVV in January 2010 for around €9million and has become a key player for the Russian side.
