The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Brazilian side Corinthians in the January transfer window.
Adriano’s former Brazil team-mate Ronaldo has urged the club to sign the Roma striker.
“I don’t want to leave Roma like I did at Inter, but if it was down to me I would go back to Brazil. However, there has to be an agreement between the clubs, or I will stay here until 2013,” Adriano told Extra.
“It’s true that Ronaldo called me, but I told him I had a contract here until 2013.
“I want to return to playing. I am well physically, but I don’t know if I am in the coach’s plans.”
