Wenger hopes England will fend of competition from Russia, Spain/Portugal and Holland/Birmingham, to win the race to host the tournament in 2018.
“I have worked as hard as I can for the bid and hope we can celebrate in Zurich because England deserves it,” said Wenger.
“I’m a great fan of this bid because I believe here more than anywhere else, there is passion.
“I would like people who really like football in this country to be rewarded with that because it is a passion you find nowhere else.
“When I see that England sell out a friendly game against France, you think that is really something special.
“I’d really love the World Cup to come here.”
