Cannavaro’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
“Paolo’s renewal is close now, and the last meeting with Napoli has given us good hopes,” the agent, Gaetano Fedele, told Marte Sport Live Radio.
“He is an excellent player and is doing very well for his hometown club.
“His objective is to finish his career here. He has the faith of his coach, and that of the club too.”
