The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks.
“Matteo is admired by the club and the coach and so he will not leave Roma,” Vanni Puzzolo told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“It is nice to see other clubs interested, this is normal, but the player feels an important part of the Roma group.
“Therefore there is no possibility of a transfer.”
