The Sunday People reports that City boss Roberto Mancini is keen to bring in Gourcuff in order to add some creativity to his squad.
City’s scouts have reportedly been tracking the 24-year-old.
Gourcuff joined Lyon from Italian giants AC Milan in August in a €22million deal.
