Saviola’s contract with Barcelona expires in June.
He said: “At the beginning of the season I was criticised for the decision that I took (to continue with Barca), but today I feel an enormous happiness to have chosen to stay and to be playing. For any player, the most important thing is that he feels useful.
“My first option is to stay with Barcelona. I’m waiting for an offer from the club, once that happens we will decide if I continue or not. And if not, I will look for an exit. I do not know what will happen after June. There are many things that can happen and my future is in the balance.”
