Lo Monaco believes Fiorentina will make an move to for the defender in January.
“At the moment, I have not spoken to [Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo] Corvino or anyone at Fiorentina,” Lo Monaco admitted to Firenzeviola.it.
“Alvarez is undoubtedly a quality player who can play on both sides of the pitch, and is ready to play for a bigger club.
“As it stands, no negotiations exists between any club, but I understand that [coach Sinisa] Mihajlovic – having coached him before – is interested in having him at the club.
“Should Fiorentina come knocking for Alvarez, we would listen to their offer. It is no secret that a good rapport exists between the two clubs. Should a good offer arrive, we would have no problem negotiating.”
