The new deal will keep the 31-year-old centre-back at Twente until the summer of 2013.
Wisgerhof told the club’s official website: “I have experienced beautiful moments with the club. The highlights have to be the Dutch championship last term and the resulting Champions League campaign.
“I’m looking forward to playing a role in more successful moments in the coming years.”
