The German club brought through the player, who has played for the national side, but with Manchester United looking for a goalkeeper to replace Edwin van der Saar long term, Leverkusen admit they will probably lose him should the English side come calling.
Sporting director Rudi Voller said: “we want to offer him a good contract. But if you get a club like Manchester United after him you can do nothing.”
